What My Readers Feel About Malaysia: Part Three
Here is the third part about what my readers feel about Malaysia.
Some selected comments:
“I am a proud Malaysian. Our forefathers fought against the Japanese and communists and sadly the majority (those racists only) forget that without the minority races’ involvement communism would have taken over.”
“Of course not. The government is so unstable and we have daily squabbling on social media. I fear for the future of my children. What is going to happen in the next generation if after 6 decades of independence we are back to 'square one'.”
“ not at all ! Look at the corruption, thieving, intolerance by the majority race !”
“No. The irresponsible government and politicians are using race, culture and religion as a weapon to keep the people divided, preventing anyone from being able to properly organize to challenge the government.”
“Very unhappy but what can I do other than to vote against the racist parties”
“I am happy that I am not dead and can still enjoy whatever pleasure derived from playing with my grandchildren although I worry about their future.”
“Of course not we don’t have a government just a motley crew pretending to be Govt.”
“100% No. Public services are rotting to the core (Corruption, stupidity, abuse, lots of standards – more than double & injustice towards the non-Malays. Religious bigots and education system is going deeper and deeper into the pit! Primarily the whole country is led by an illegitimate government comprising mostly of stupid, greedy, selfish & evil Malay ministers educated-unqualified/ Mostly lowly educated”
“Malaysia is heading towards a failed state.
a) Racial discrimination at all levels of public sector
b) Corruption
c) Abuse of power
d) Religious bigotry and suppression
e) Discrimination in budget allocation towards Sabah.
f) Not respecting the rule of law and the Rukun Negara.
g) Not respecting and honouring the Malaysian Agreement 1963.
h) Justice only to the elites and not to the commoners.”
“Good living in Malaysia - blessed with good climate and generally an uncomplaining and diligent workforce. Governance should improve, good democratic practices should be in place and the people's wishes and choice of government respected.”
“Obviously not.. Too much discrimination”
