Criticisms still raging over Anwar’s visits to China and Saudi Arabia
Muhyiddin Yassin claims Anwar indirectly acknowledged Chinese claim on Malaysian territory
Just on a week after prime minister Anwar Ibrahim returned from Beijing, criticism over aspects of Anwar’s trips to China and Saudi Arabia continue.
Yesterday former prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin hit out at Anwar, claiming he compromised Malaysia’s sovereignty by telling President Xi Jinping, that Malaysia would be open to hold discussions with Beijing, ‘if China feels this is their right’.
Muhyiddin said this is an indirect acknowledgement of China’s claim on Malaysian territory. China expressed concern over Petronas exploration in the South China Sea, in areas under Malaysian claim. Muhyiddin said, Anwar must be ‘more stern’ when Chinese naval vessels encroach the area.
Questions posed over RM 170 billion Chinese investment claim
It was only last Monday, Anwar publicly announced Chinese firm were investing RM 170 billion in an unprecedented manner. Just before Anwar went to China, he said he would have a big investment announcement soon. He was referring to the 19 MOUs signed between Malaysian and Chinese companies during his visit.
If no hype was made over the MOUs, the ceremony would have just gone by unnoticed. However, many have scrutinized the list (see below) released on April 1, claiming details are scant, and hurriedly prepared. There are questions about how many of the MOUs will actually eventuate.
Talk around town on this issue, inferred that MOU signing event was hurriedly prepared and staged as a showpiece. The poster at the back of the stage appeared to give this away as it stated “MOU Witnessing Ceremony”.
Iris Institute continues to question Saudi Arabia visit
Iris Institute CEO Ahmad Syed Ibrahim questions the legitimacy of Anwar’s official visit to Saudi Arabia, as he did not meet with any of the Saudi Arabia leadership. CEO Ahmad Syed called the visit strange, as the prime minister was not greeted by the Kingdom’s highest leaders. Malaysia and Saudi Arabia had always enjoyed very good relations, and the prime minister not being met by any senior leader, raises questions.
Ahmad Syed said, even former education minister Maszlee Malik was able to meet with King Salman back in 2019.
Talk around town inferred that Anwar’s prime objective during the visit was to perform his Umrah, as his dress suggested upon his arrival.

No details on most of the MOU’s until today. No 17, they also sign an MOU with a co called Dumbo. 😂
Muhiyidin has no moral or credible grounds for criticism. He is a fraud.
