From Hua Lamphong to Hat Yai by Train
One of Asia's railway adventures
We took a train from Hua Lamphong to Hat Yai, just to experience the trip once again. We tried to book 1st class, but all booked out, so it was back to 2nd class.
The immediate area around Hua Lamphong station is becoming hip with bars night clubs and exotic hotels.
This old building doesn’t give away its secrets until you actually go inside.

Its a shame the station is soon to be replaced
The hotel we stayed at right by the station. Its an old Chinese hotel, still looks the same it did 50 years ago.

I used to love this journey. Thank you for this. Very sad that Hualumpung station will be replaced. No need for it. It would outlast whatever will be built in its place It’s always corruption. Please tell but I think you would have if it was still there, but the best part of the train was the restaurants car. Hanging out there with friendly people having a drink which was then stopped after the rape victim. But I guess they now closed the restaurant as so many things go out the window forever with the latest plandemic scam, never to return.
