Kampong Sri Makmur residents evicted from homes and quickly demolished by Selangor PKNPs
Residents left homeless after last ditch appeal to Selangor MB Amirudin Shari
The residents of Kampong Sri Makmur in Gombak were evicted from their homes on 27th May, where a demolition contractor immediately demolished the houses in front of the residents’ eyes. Some of these dwellings still had the residents’ household effects inside, due to the rush to demolish the dwellings.
More than 20 families were evicted.
The residents of Kampong Sri Makmur were promised loans to purchase Selangorku replacement homes. However, the action to demolish the homes was taken before any of the loans for homes in Sri Temenggung were approved. The promise of new homes was made by the Selangor State Economic Development Corporation (PKNS) to the Sri Makmur Resident’s Association on November 16, last year.
The residents of Kampong Sri Makmur are now homeless, where most are now staying at relative’s homes. Others are now staying in the surau nearby, which is also going to be demolished in the next day. Residents were given RM1,000 for temporary accommodation by the PKNS. The residents on February 9 requested RM 10,000 per family compensation due to the high cost of rentals in the area.
The residents made a last plea on May 4 to the Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari, who is also their local Gombak assembly member. Amirudin refused to provide any assistance on the issue.

Check Hannah Yeoh, Elizabeth Wong, Teresa Kok's and other Chinese exco's accounts to find out what went wrong. They've never ever served the people of that state. They've served the interests of individual Chinese in their respective constituencies, channeled millions of dollars into the Bersih movement which went into Ambika Srinivasan's coffers (for her "legal services" (overpriced and of low quality)). Ambiga made the disclosure to a Malaysia Kini in 2010 which was published over Youtube then heavily edited. All this at the expense of the people of Selangor without due process being followed or the consent of the people first obtained. I say Ham Kah Chun to all the Chinese excos.
pls check facts of this case - eviction notice started back in 2006. That's 18 years ago.
