Madani government makes controversial appointment as DG of JAKIM
JAKIM is now under control of corrupt racketeers
Shamsul Azri bin Abu Bakar, the Chief Secretary on 1 October 2024 announced the appointment of Dr. Sirajuddin bin Suhaimee as the new Director General of the Islamic Development Department of Malaysia (JAKIM) will come into effect on 1 October 2024.
This appears to be a coup d'état, where the existing Director General Hakimah Mohd Yusoff has been removed and appointed to the lesser position as the Halal Affairs Coordinator between JAKIM, the Malaysian Foreign Trade Corporation (MATRADE) and the Halal Development Corporation, also effective today.

There has been a battle for the control over the JAKIM empire between Sirajuddin and Hakimah for a number of years. Hakimah was able to hold back on some of the over-zealous corruption carried on in the Halal Affairs Unit. Now with the new DG, it could be back to big corruption.
This is a sad day for JAKIM. JAKIM is now under control of corrupt racketeers.

Genting highlands , carlsbetgh and anchor ( F&N) all pay taxes which go to Jakim . As a non Muslim we all laugh because of the hipocracy . Haram money goes into the coffers to Muslims . What a joke ! Don’t Muslims realize this . Then again, look at the corruption of Jakim . They support many haram businesses . Jackasses.
