Here are some selected readers’ comments on the question:
How do you see Malaysia’s future?
“There is no future until the majority race changes their attitudes and demonstrates for equality.”
“If we do not act fast and reconcile I doubt there is any future at all. We will be another Myanmar and the Malaysia we once knew will disappear. I cherish my younger days when once we of all different races were comrades.”
“Who wants to play for the side that tells you you are no good? I believe in team-work, collaboration and inclusion. I want to go for what works, not what doesn't work. Dismal are the prospects of the country that turns its back on you.”
“Rise of the muftis and Taliban eventually in time to come.”
“Bleak, hopeless, i think the country will decay into a poor backwards country where religious rule will grip the people tightly.”
“All Malaysians are bilingual. And that is our saving grace as the young ones can communicate and address issues. The future is promising after the next election.”
“Very bleak, if they continue with the religious push for hudud law.”
“We are on the process of becoming a FAILED STATE.”
“Malaysia is one of the most unfair nation in the world. In the name of assisting the ethnic Malays get ahead to be in par with the other races economically, blatant double standards and lack of meritocracy is the order. For Malaysia to move ahead, the government of the day must see beyond race and in their policies, due consideration be given to all capable and deserving.”

“No future for the non Malays”..??
“WHAT FUTURE? ITS FUCKED FOR GOOD”..??
First thing first Malaysia is Tanah Melayu or Malay Lands. Malaysian Constitutions Protects Malays Right, Malay Interests and it Natural Resources. The Constitutions is drafted and agreed by all the Malaysian Political Party before Malaysia Independence.
Second, at present more than 85% of the rich in Malaysia are non Malays.
Malays despite being the largest population group in the country are still mainly poor.
If I'm a Malay, (however I'm not, otherwise peoples will start calling me Melayu Bodoh) I would definitely not allow non Malay's to participated in Malaysian politic to make and collect moneys and kept them in their respective Motherland's. This is very detrimental to Malaysian economy.
Third, there is no denying the developments in Malaysia by the non Malays only works their self serving interests and their generations to come, not the Malaysian public.
Fourth, Malaysia similar to Singapore never guaranteed anyone in the country a bright and comfortable future. They can always go back to where their forefather came from for a better future if they wishes to. No one can stop them under the Malaysian Law.
The non Malays in Malaysia knew very well the status quo of their respective Motherland and the main reason they choose to remain in Malaysia for centuries. I suggest looking at Thailand as an alternative to Malaysia for a better future since many Malaysians has already settled in Thailand comfortably for decades.
Some reader's may not even know Malaysians contributed the largest visitors in Thailand for already many decades.
