Twitter Files: Big Pharma lobbied Twitter to censor calls for affordable vaccines

In another drop of Twitter files, Lee Fang reported BioNtech, Pfizer, and Moderna pressured Twitter to censor tweets calling for Big Pharma to share Covid-19 vaccine patents, to enable companies in the Third World to produce low-cost generic vaccines.

Big Pharma corporations also funded a “non-profit NGO” to fight misinformation. At the same time these NGOs or factcheckers didn’t flag misleading claims by Big Pharma. Public Good Projects, an NGO that was funded by Big Pharma, fagged Tweets that were legitimate policy debate, such as criticisms of vaccine passports.

In addition, lobbyists communicated with Twitter advising them of Tweets which potential breaches Twitter’s terms of service.
