The participants were having a fun race. They were having a fancy dress run involving participants from other countries, not promoting any form of sexual orientation. Obviously a Malay with a closet mind must have seen the whole charade and decided to exercise his Malay/muslim ‘values’. What a farce. The police should have ignored the incident and told the complainants to buzz off. Now the whole world is laughing at us for being so stupid.
I went to the Latin American festival yesterday. Alot of people were there as usual BUT much more subdued (much better in previous years) with fewer cultural performances & booths - its usually earlier in the year though (+ Cuba, Argentina, Colombia etc are having economic or political problems)... Someone said there was no participation by DBKL and DOT with the usually politicians like a tourism minister or officials were a no show. Note there were Muslim women doing Brazilian Capoeira + Latin dance on the stage. BUT in previous years, I could see some of the dancing etc (one woman attendee was dressed very immodestly, as in boobs and fat hanging all over the place like she was on a beach in Rio, and I think she's been there dressed just like that in previous years) + alcohol getting the festival into trouble like Octoberfest.......
