Malaysia and its voters are maturing in the face of rapid communications. It is never the political party (which finds no recognition expressly in the constitution) but each individual member of parliament that really counts.
Members with common values then find their place by coalescing in parliament under party names or through their votes on issues and legislation.
In the upcoming general elections, the Najib factor will not go unnoticed. If it does, then the damage done by unmandated NGO's and incompetent courts and legislators is irreversible and the order of the day.
Why I saw no think tanks in Malaysia making surveys to nudge voters what's they wanted from the future government? Please refers to Guardian article "Rishi Sunak faces struggle to retain both red wall and blue wall voters" by Pippa Crerar 12 Nov 2022.
They were two think tanks explored questions like costs of living etc and the results were astonishing. I sincerely hope you and readers produce surveys for Malaysian voters.
