Yes, anwar seizes on opportunities and regards those who helped him are inconsequential unless they are a threat to him.
He regards the voters as akin to a club with many beautiful girls and where promise to marry them all. He lies and will continue to do so at the next club.
Several things here. Firtsly, I disagree with this explanation, oft repeated by others:-
"After the 2008 general election, Anwar announced that with the support of Sabah MPs, he would have the numbers to takeover government. This fizzled out, when the Badawi administration sent many of these MPs to Taiwan and Korea on a ‘study tour’."
There was no "anti-hopping law" back then to prevent elected representatives from switching party mid-term, so even if then PM Abdullah Badawi had sent these MPs on a study tour or a "study tour" in Taiwan to prevent them jumping ship by or on 16 September 2008, what was stopping them from jumping ship when they returned to Malaysia?
As for later instances when he claimed to have majority support of MPs to form a government, and the disastrous Kajang Move, I'd say he bungled and one tends to lose credibility each time, one's claims don't come to pass.
With regards the retention of SOSMA which allows for detention without trial, it would not be needed in an ideal world where all politicians play by Marquess of Queensberry Rules of fairness, but in a non-ideal world, which is the case with politicians in Malaysia, it is necessary to have laws such as SOSMA in reserve to be able to detain one's enemy who is abusing the democratic process and the rule of law to threaten the national interest, when prosecutions according to the rule of law can drag on for years, sometimes exceeding the legal term of elected governments.
Too many things were conjured from the writers imagination. If anything Anwar is far from stubborn, he sways easily over masses sentiment. He is a populist at heart.

As far as it goes, the arguments presented are purely ad hominem without anything to substantiate.
I think mr hunter is spot on.

Anwar loves himself, self absorbed and likes to hear his own voice, not others. You ever heard him let others talk?
