As I read this article, I could not help but think this is the white man apologist--saying things are ok as they are now, let's not make it constitutional because then suddenly all aboriginals will become like the privileged Malays..like the privileged Emiratis.. like the privileged white Americans, like the privileged white Australians of European descent..what would be your answer to that?
In modern civilisation and industrial development, education is necessary for everyone to survive. The aborignals need such support to bring them up to the same level as others. Provide for those who can be helped. If they are not interested then you cannot help them. Let them stay within their civilization. When help is provided and you do not appreciate and make us of it, then no one can help you.
