Immediate moves must be made to protect archaeological relics from being destroyed, stolen, hidden away and so on because historical truth may not be a dream for some in the country.

Already there has been suspicions relics including large (Hindu / Buddhist) carvings on the coast of Sarawak have been deliberately or "accidentally" destroyed.

The earlier civilisations are of immense importance and value to the study of history and would be a big reason to visit Malaysia for tourists and academics.

We should not do a "Taliban" (Bamiyan) on what should be preserved for humankind, destroy anything and everything that do not conform to the dogmatic beliefs of some radical fundamentalists (who also lurk about in Malaysia).

The Talibans have realised the errors of their way and have been repairing the giant statues they dynamited. In recent years they have permitted visitors to the site.

I doubt our fundamentalists can match the Talibans in intelligence or even basic understanding of the world outside of their mental coconut shells. Can't say our gomens are any better. Or enlightened. Or civilised.

We shouldn't invent our history with mythologies, fake narratives, and unbelievable bullsh*t. And we are always caught out, eg the most recent huge lie ancient Chinese ships were made in Bolehland, what shame, and WTF!

Doesn't have to be nicely preserved and comparable or better than finds elsewhere, ancient relics have, as the Chinese scholars and fans of antiquity would say "Ancient colours, Ancient fragrance".

Btw, it would be a well-deserved and important study for our scholars and fans of religion for the nearly thirty versions of the "only one preserved version" of that one and only religion. Half-baked scholars and zealots need not apply, thank you.

Now fcuk off back to the Stone Age, ignore the dinosaurs and those with even more interesting ancient religions that do not steal that much from the Sumerians, Zoroastrians, etc or even the Yahudis.

Not just the one in Kedah. There are archaeological evidence on the banks of sungai Pahang which was clearly Ming dynasty ship. Not forgetting the one in Kota Tinggi in Johor. Unfortunately these evidences will put the Muslims as late comers into the Malay peninsula. This will put paid to the concept of bumiputraism and Ketuanan.
