We are living through the death. throes of neoliberal capitalism. The vast disparity of global wealth, the elimination of the middle class, and the rise of plutocratic governance have led to the rise of populist fascism, as it did in Europe in the 1920's. Chaos is at hand.

This guy is more interesting than Surgical Swab, Milei, and very likely most WEF decorations:

My, my, what a load of cobblers is being spun here, eh?!

Since when is the world so neatly split into just two camps, the "neo-liberal economics or totalitarian socialism".

Authoritarianism isn't always all that bad. All depends on who practises it. If it is China, it is, of course, bad. If it is good ole Harry Lee and Singapore, it is the greatest act on Earth, every other politician of the free and not-so-free world would like Harry's form of fascism. Singapore has always been the desired model of an ideal country.

However, it is a joke to see the world has only a either-or choice of only

neo-liberal economics or totalitarian socialism. These are what the West holds up as the only "choices" and is a nonsense. There are plenty of other choices, of course, but only the West has the one true way which they love to force on the rest of the world, usually with coups, regime change, and bombs. That is because the Western uncles believe the rest of the world can't think for themselves.

The moment the Argie budding fascist clown Milei shows up and says he's with the Western order, the West immediately approves of him and he is feted as a media darling. Never mind whether the little guy's economic or political ideas will work, he has the style of a Latin tinpot dictator, and that's a blessing for Wall Street. So far, Tinpot has said all the right things for the West, we need hang around just a little while more to see his country collapses.

I can't be overly impressed with what Tinpot has said so far, he's merely uttering what the US likes to hear, namely, he's against what the West is against. It's that "for us, or against us" thing.

Chasing after "growth" and "Capitalism is a way of discovering new modes of growth" is a load of old bollocks. The entire West, Japan included, are stuck in a no man's land with the inability to achieve much or any growth. To make those who support capitalism happy, Marxism and socialism (not necessarily always with "authoritarianism") are also out of ideas.

Instead of religiously running after growth, what about the pursuit of happiness as some economists suggest?

If idling under the coconut trees makes one happy, why not? So long as it doesn't hurt someone else, there's nothing wrong with doing nothing for capitalism or socialism or anything else. Not all of us are fcuking Protestants and have to feel guilty about "work ethics".

Back to the weirdo, it is early days yet for Milei. He's charmed the West, he's got a loan from the IMF, he's only done the usual for someone without much talent but grovels to the existing order. No he's not "very brave" with his speech to Herr Surgical Swab of the WEF, he's merely "doing the right thing" for the right audience.

Come the tougher times, your fcuking hero gaucho will only buckle up, fcuk up his country, and grin his way into the sunset.

I like his hairstyle though, it's designed for him to sleep on the pavement comes the right (or wrong) time.
