Dyslexia itself manifests itself in quite a number of ways which experts have yet to identify with any degree of clarity or to label correctly. I was beaten at school by teachers for not being able to memorize and to spit out chemistry formulas, solve maths problems and a number of other learning issues.

At the age of 53 whilst working for a larg legal firm in Sydney, my immediate superior discovered that there ws a distinct chasm between my knowledge of the subject I was daling with and how I expressed it in writing. I was asked to submit to a psychological assessment of my reading and writing abilities and to test me for what they today term ADHA.

The clinical psychologists, all 3 of them concluded that I was severely dyslexic and could not figure out how I managed to secure 3 law degrees and a post graduate in law. Lik me there were others. One a former judge who I worked under as a junior at the bar. He too suffered from the dysfunction of what the brain sees, what the handsss translate and how the eyes see it.

As the late great cotroversial Thomas Szaz (revolutionary psychiatrist) revealed, there is no mental disease or disorder. Just different ways in which the brain translates what it obsorbs in its environment and translates it. There are many different filters it goes through which results in the final output.

But thanks for sharing. Loke Kwan Toh the Hong Kong multi millionaire who was said to be uneducated was in fact severely dyslexisc. So too a number of other high achievers.

"could not figure out how I managed to secure 3 law degrees and a post graduate in law"

Most likely untrue, but there's no correlation between being able to pass exams, get umpteen degrees, and being intelligent eg being competent in a profession (eg being a "clinical psychiatrist, lawyer) , in life, etc)

Having a law degree doesn't say anything, let alone having three and a half. There are those with half a law degree (papers from eg the Inns, diplomas, etc etc) who are more capable and can easily eat those degree collectors alive.

A young relative with one of those funny joint-- (not weed) degrees for which he spent part of the time in a hole in the wall college in Bolehland and the other half in a desert town in Britain was seen by my whole clan as a comedian the "proper" lawyers in the clan avoided taking in for training.

The relative eventually joined a lost cause practice of typical Bolehland professional legal losers and not even one that expound and shag all over about their "interpretations" of law (our all-talking plantation niggah legal expert types).

Weirdly, one day this relative took on a tough loser case no lawyer in Bolehland wanted to touch, and came out shining in all glory. The clan which spends most of its time fighting (and suing) Lee Kuan Yew and forcing members of the "Hong Lim Clique" into Singlandia gomen, was stunned. The clan had never even passed him one parking ticket to get a discount for.

Dyslexia is still a "mystery" and there isn't anything solid to shag with about it. The only thing concrete about it is you can, in Europe, get plenty of help in the form of free laptops, mobile phones, desktops, scanners, printers, headphones, cash assistance, all sorts of passes, recorders (not the ones on the bench), etc. If you are creative, you can always claim you are "dyslexic" when you are not.

Many from the Republic of Dyslexia are only mentally retarded and not "dyslexic" as those equally mentally retarded "clinical psychiatrists" who shag off about "dyslexia" which nobody knows anything about and can be anything or nothing else.

Chicken Korma, you know "everything" and shag off about "everything" while getting most confused, there's certainty you are afflicted by anything and everything "dyslexia" is excuse for (eg schizophrenia and all the colourful afflictions in the spectrum of personality disorders, and variety of madness, if you may... You've made your own diagnoses and shagged off voluntarily at length and "dyslexia", chances are you can't be "dyslexic", you are only mentally disturbed in other flavours. Your rabid hatred for anything Chinese or remotely Chinese definitely need urgent seeing to.

To add a "racist" angle to things, certain communities among usually migrants and their offsprings are more prone to certain mental illnesses that are or border around schizophrenia, personality disorders, and a number of other illnesses.

Btw, not too few from certain communities have the compulsion to act out their delusions and fantasies of being great legal experts by, strangely, being rather excessively mouthy, full of themselves, rabid, and opinionated in their profound pronouncements from their imaginary benches (nicked from the plantation jungle "court")

Chicken Korma, you may not be "dyslexic" diagnosed by "three wise men" from a highly questionable profession, you are surely just as flavourful as a colourless nutcase still waiting to be discovered as the next planet in our lifetime. I rest your fruit and nutcase...
