Looks entirely like MacMullah Anwar and the MacDani gomen are well aware what they are going to do in the coming months would piss off the rakyat, and the country is not going to stay quiet while the inept, clueless and ineffectual gomen carry on make increasing more messes and fcuk up the country.

What "safer" for the gomen to cushion a good hammering than to take early measures against the wrath of the public by silencing them?

Resorting to fascist means to prevent free expression tells you how terrified of the likely fallout from their policies the morally bankrupt gomen is. So expect just that - policies, practices, and behaviour of the MacDani gomen you will not like.

And, fear not, neither MacMullah nor his herd of sycophants have the intelligence, ability or means to handle any popular protest or even uprising that will visit them. What MacMullah fears most is a dent to his (actually near non-existent) carefully crafted international image. That will collapse even when MacMullah has, as usual, positioned his shifty self to play both sides and all sides. MacMullah is a Bolehland kampong macaivillain and never has the wit to play any game. Over half a century of playing all and getting absolutely nowhere tells you his sad tale.

Whether you support any move, like this one to destroy free speech, for instance, it will always end up MacMullah and his witless sycophants fcuking themselves stupid. And fcuking themselves out of gomen.

What's more, with international attention focused on him, MacMullah will severely dent what little he has of an international image he so badly craves. So stop the hard work on censorship and the like, prepare for the world to tell a pretend-Jose Rizal, pretend-Gandhi, pretend-Mandela, "G*d's gift to Malaysia" (maybe the world) to finally fcuk off and spare everybody his cheap kampong drama.

Btw, is selling out Bolehland to BlackRock a form of insurance for the support of the West? And a treacherous playing of both and all sides a sneaky operator macaivillain might get into? It's not entirely beyond any devious and desperate operator, is it?...
