A true & sad fact of the Malay mindset. They were brought up to respect but went overboard to think of themselves as feudal serfs to the Raja’s… also a fault of the colonist British at that time.
If not killed, it will seep into all Malaysians mindset. As there’s no meritocracy only boot lucking bodekism will help one to climb the corp ladder!

Malaysian society is getting more immoral despite enormous emphasis on spirituality. Something is rotten in the State of Malaysia.

Having said that, pleasing your superiors is a toolkit for survival in bureaucracies all over the world.
