New Health Minister Dzulkefly Ahmad quickly losses credibility
Ready to issue new Covid-19 directives and order boosters without examining the evidence
FMT reports that the Health Minister Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad is considering issuing new directives regarding “Covid vaccines” and mask wearing very soon. This is in response to the low uptakes on the public taking boosters. These new directives are being considered even though the Director General for Health said that out of the 12,757 cases reported over the past week most cases exhibited only mild symptoms and didn’t require hospitalization.
The major question here is why is the government prepared to issue new directives and promote greater vaccine uptake, when there is now plentiful evidence available from community based real time studies showing very low efficacy.
Denmark was the first country to abandon their Covid-19 vaccination program based on Covid-19 being under control. Both the UK and Australia have restricted the use of vaccines on certain sections of their respective populations.
Low efficacy show be the prime concern
More and more studies are showing very poor efficacy results for Covid-19 vaccines, especially the Pfizer and Moderna brands. One of the latest peer reviewed retrospective observational studies “Effectiveness of a fourth SARS-CoV-2 vaccine dose in previously infected individuals from Austria” in the European Journal of Clinical Investigation reviewing the efficacy of a 4th booster, based upon data on 281,291 recipients up to the end of 2022 in Austria found the 4th booster made no reduction in deaths. For the first 3 months after receiving the 4th booster, the recipient cohort had a 17 percent reduction in in infection rates. However, after the initial 3 month period, there was a rise of 24 percent in Covid-19 infections, over those who hadn’t received the 4th booster.
The conclusion of the paper is that there was no statistically significant reduction in deaths by those vaccinated. Those given a 4th booster actually were more susceptible to being infected by Covid-19, than those who hadn’t received a 4th booster. This, and other studies puts the whole question of vaccination as a strategy into question.
Malaysia spending billions of Ringgit on Covid-19 vaccines, where RM 500 million worth of Covid-19 vaccines controlled by the MOH were recently disposed of, is just not prudent given the low benefits from such a product.
Based on the above, the whole Malaysian Covid-19 vaccine strategy needs an urgent review, given there is a growing body of evidence on adverse effects, which cannot be ignored anymore. This should alone be a RED LIGHT on the wisdom of using mRNA vaccines on Malaysians. The reported adverse effects most probably far outweigh the benefits of taking the Covid-19 vaccine.
Sales of Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccines have dopped 80 percent on their 2022 sales. Very few nations in the world are purchasing Covid-19 vaccines anymore.
The pro-vaccine lobby in Malaysia is now upping vaccine propaganda to through portals like Code Blue to influence the MOH to go ahead with the purchase of new Pfizer vaccines.
The new health minister must personally research these issues. There is a growing body of medical practitioners throughout Malaysia who are very weary over the continued use of Covid-19 mRNA vaccines after their experiences with the product. The minister appears to be listening to advice from people who stand to make large personal financial gains from any vaccine purchase.
The policy of making new vaccine directives may do more harm than good to Malaysians.
