a powerful community here in this room.

We have the means to impose the state of the world”

" Academics, technocrats and independent experts have all been bypassed ". And who are these may we ask? A bunch of self assessed and self accredited "Academics, technocrats and independent experts".

The government of Anwar whether or not by the conventional multi party firt past the post system or throough a coalition is no illegitimate unelss one is ignorant of how the poltical system operates in a constitutional monarchic democacy as Malaysia uniquely is. The framework of that constituional monarchich democracy is based and grounded on the Westminster system of constitutional government.

To suggest there is an unlawful and or unmeritorious class of monopolists in busines is to put Malaysia on par with Britain, the US, Germany and countries like India and Australia where government exercised its powers to favour certain strong performers in th industrial sector by favouring them in the award of contracts and business licenses.

However this critic of the Anwar government (for want of a better name) conveniently omits mention of the Rockerfellas, the Gettys, the Kennedys, the JP Morgans, the Whitechapel Bell Foundry (UK), Nortons, Land Rover, Royal Enfield, The Royal Mint, and at least 250 others all of who are favoured over the others by what is often the protective prefix label of a Royal Charter.

India of course has Birlas, Bajaj, Shaw Wallace, Tatas and scores of others. Japan has its own in Mitsubishi, Mitsui, Marubeni, Toyo and at least 500 others. And none of these companies and decisions by the governments that put them there and favoured them have suffered the economies of the countries they belonged to. Quite the contrry.

Murray Hunter needs a new battery and some new ideas. Westerrrn liberal democracy is on the wane and so too is "free speech" (meaning the belief in the right to publish and be dammned, mainly scurrilous half truths.
