The dark-side of the MIMOS-Worldcoin partnership
Malaysian authorities disregard Malaysians’ privacy integrity
On August 16, Worldcoin, MY E.G. Services Berhad (MYEG), and MIMOS, the applied research and development body under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) have signed an agreement to collect biometric data (iris scans) from Malaysians.
The controversial Worldcoin Foundation, was founded in 2019 by Open AI CEO Sam Altman to authenticate humans online for what is called a World ID system, constructed upon people providing their ID and scanned iris details, in exchange for RM 400 worth of cypto-currency as a bonus/inducement. Worldcoin is collecting iris data in countries like Indonesia, France, Japan, Spain, the UK, and now in Malaysia.
This activity is being promoted by MY E.G. Services and MIMOS, without any regard for the security and data privacy of Malaysian citizens. MY E.G. Services currently offers digital pathways from Malaysians to access government services online. These include road tax and insurance, foreign worker registrations, City Hall and police summons, etc. My E.G. Services is hoping to incorporate the digital ID being created by MIMOS-Worldcoin in any future interfaces with government services.
Data collection orbs (pictured below) are being distributed to collect iris data from Malaysians all around the country. According to the Edge, this data will eventually be used as a prerequisite to use government services and access the internet. MY E.G. Services and MIMOS are currently incorporating this system into Malaysia’s blockchain infrastructure.

Worldcoin has become entangled in a number of regulatory and breach of privacy issues.
The crypto-currency given to people in exchange for providing their iris data is of concern to a number of national regulators.
Data protection authorities in France and the United Kingdom have opened investigations into Worldcoin over privacy concerns. Regulators in Bavaria in Germany and South Korea have followed suit. The Portuguese authorities are also investigating Worldcoin’s operations in the country. In South America, the Columbian authorities have launched an investigation.
Kenya has gone one step further and banned Worldcoin collecting iris data in the country. Worldcoin has also ceased operations in India. Spain has temporarily suspended Worldcoin’s operations pending a deeper investigation.
Worldcoin is part of the worldwide digital currency consortium
Worldcoin is a member of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Digital Currency Governance Consortium, which is composed of 80 corporations exchanging information across Africa, Asia, Europe, Middle East, North America, and Latin America.
The final product the consortium is planning.
The systems, government and private interfaces being developed by MIMOs and My E.G. services will enable the government to cut a citizen’s access to government services, his or her bank accounts and access to the internet.
The MOSTI Minister Chang Lih Kang must look deeply into the activities going on within his ministry.
Why has the Malaysian Department of Personal Data Protection (PDP) not acted upon this issue in Malaysia? Finally, why is MIMOS entering into collaboration with companies that are being investigated for the same activities they are working together in Malaysia on?
Can the Data Protection Commissioner Mohd Nazri Kama act independently of Fahmi Fadzil?

Mimos stands to make rm 400 or so for every person signed up. They don't tell you that they could potentially make billions just for signing up Malaysians. But they also don't tell you they would use the iris orb scanner eventually, and your data stays forever in the worldcoin blockchain and cannot be deleted. There is no way they won't try to force Malaysians to sign up again because billions (that are not theirs in the first place) are at stake before the company could go public and any corporations probably can buy/invest in them. They're literally selling Malaysian biometric data in exchange for crypto currency.
Everytime one lands in the USA or in Germany or other Western nation their biometric data is already harvested from them when they look into a camera thats used to scan their eyes and their entire facials. The technology has been widely in use sine 9/11.
This is another attack on Malays by an idiot claiming to be an academic paid to destabilize Malaysia. The whole Regime Change menace is coming apart at the seams as is the pretence of the author of this online rag.
