The real issue here is whether or not the USA (read the NED and the CIA) want them to pull anything off. In order to end corruption and nepotism, lawlessness and to restructure Malaysia's political and legal systems the people have to show a desire for real change. Not simply "change" as a slogan but real change by changing their own lives.
Corruption and by passing the system is a cultural problem in Malaysia with all three races being guilty of the practices of graft and corruption.
Anwar is as much a part of the problem as are the lawmakers, the legal fraternity and Malaysia's judges all of who have a fundamental problem of not understanding their constitution or the laws of the country.
But criticizing Mokhtar's rice monopoly just led to accusations that the one Malay billionaire, vs. all the non-Malay ones, was being singled out.... 🙄
